What is a user engagement planner?
The user engagement planner is a forward-looking schedule shared with clients at the outset of a project or phase. It maps out the timing and purpose of engagement activities such as usability testing, design reviews, A/B testing, and customer feedback sessions, often spanning many months.
Its primary purpose is to:
- Set expectations for ongoing collaboration and customer engagement
- Provide visibility into future UX and user experience activities
- Establish a rhythm for iterative updates, performance check-ins, and re-engagement
- Support long-term planning, customer retention, and resource allocation
At Full Clarity, we use the engagement plan to ensure all stakeholders remain informed and aligned. It acts as a shared reference point, helping clients anticipate when and how improvements will be made, and giving structure to long-term design, customer relationships, and product strategy.
