Mobile apps (React Native)

Whether you’re in the opening phases of product development, or making improvements to an existing digital product, we’re here to help you bring your vision and goals to life.

One well-structured codebase lets a small team ship on both platforms without cutting corners.

Jon, Technical Director

One codebase, two platforms

React Native lets us build apps for iOS and Android from a single codebase, without compromising on the experience. Most of the code is shared between platforms, so features reach both stores together and stay consistent. That means a faster route to market, lower development costs and one team that understands the whole product.

Native performance and feel

React Native apps use real native components, so they look, scroll and respond the way people expect on their device. Where a feature needs deeper access to the phone, such as the camera, location or notifications, we use native modules. Careful attention to performance keeps the app smooth, from first launch through to everyday use.

Built to grow

We design apps with growth in mind: shared design systems, reliable automated tests and release processes that make updates routine. As your product evolves, new features can be added with confidence.

Technologies used

React Native and TypeScript, with Expo where it speeds up delivery, native modules for device features, and automated testing and over-the-air updates to keep releases fast, reliable and consistent across iOS and Android.

Some questions you might have

Building separate iOS and Android apps means two codebases, two teams and features that drift apart over time. With React Native, most of the code is shared, so you get both platforms for close to the cost of one. For the small number of cases that need specialist native code, we can still write it alongside the shared app.

For most products, yes. React Native renders real native interface components rather than a web page in a wrapper, so the app looks and behaves like any other on the device. We test on real phones throughout development, and optimise any screens or animations that need extra attention.

Yes. We prepare the store listings, screenshots and builds, manage the submission and review process, and set up the accounts and certificates if you don't have them. We also put in place a release process, so future updates can be shipped quickly and safely.

Yes. React Native apps typically connect to the same APIs as your website, so data and accounts stay in sync. If you already use React on the web, some logic, design tokens and even components can be shared between the two, which keeps the experience consistent and reduces duplicated work.
