

James Flint, the CEO of Hospify, expressed his delight at the app’s inclusion in the official NHS Apps Library, highlighting its suitability for the entire healthcare system. He also emphasised the app’s distinction as the first general-purpose messaging app to receive approval for both medical staff and patients. Hospify’s surveys indicate that over 500,000 NHS staff presently rely on non-compliant consumer apps to communicate patient-related information during their work. An Freedom of Information (FOI) request sent to 152 NHS trusts in 2018 by Hospify revealed that almost two-thirds of the trusts in England lacked a policy regarding the use of instant messaging apps.
