Full Stack Developer

What we are looking for

We are building a new development team to support an exciting project related to the Metaverse.

We are looking for an outstanding full stack developer who is able to hit the ground running to work on existing and greenfield full stack applications. You’ll be comfortable with ES6 JavaScript, SCSS and frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or Vue.js. You’ll have experience working with REST APIs in your frontend apps, and should also know how to build secure, reliable and fault-tolerant backends using ASP.NET or PHP/Laravel.

We’d like you to be client facing, so it is important you communicate clearly and professionally. We value team members who solve problems proactively and it is important you are able to work independently.

The position is remote, but you are also welcome to join us at our workspaces in Farnham (Surrey), Exeter or Bristol for occasional get togethers.

Key responsibilities

Building frontend web applications using Vue 2/Vuex and React/Redux
Building and working with REST APIs
Accurately recreating UI from designs with a high degree of attention to detail
Contributing to Agile planning ceremoniues, and helping inform the design process
Communicating clearly and professionally with the client and other team members throughout the project lifecycle
Working within project deadlines and highlighting early if deadlines are not realistic

Skills, qualities and competencies

ES6+ JavaScript
React/Vue.js, with Redux/Vuex for state management. Experience with other SPA frameworks (e.g. Svelte) is also desirable but not required
PHP and Laravel
Experienced with cloud architecture and deployment (especially AWS and Azure)
Any additional experience with ASP.NET or Node.js is a bonus
Git workflow
Ability to spot potential edge cases ahead of time
Confident in articulating your ideas, and great at communicating with both clients and other team members
You will be able to lead the development of the project, working with the Technical Director, and client team where required
A strong portfolio that demonstrates experience working with data-driven applications
A problem solver i.e someone who can think for themselves and come up with solutions, suggestions and ideas to solve problems and challenges that arise
Self motivated, proactive and take initiative
Professional, reliable and trustworthy to hit deliverable deadlines
